Fashion vs Pencil & Paper: Orin “OrinInk” Roderick Perry

I met Orin while I was in photography-school (ICP) in New York City. We had some friend in common and started talking at some art-show opening. At the time Orin was mostly working as a stylist apart from some showroom jobs. We did a bunch of shoots together and he showed to have an extensive network already back then. And is all about sharing. Did I say friendly?

Orin has a special ability to connect to people and certainly has an eye for fashion. He is also an amazing artist and a very good person and a modern vagabond/nomad. Nowadays he blogs, still draws and is currently involved in a still secret project. I hope to write more about Orin in the future. His stuff truly deserve it! Make sure to follow his blogs too!

How he describes himself: “Orin is a human being ..perfectly imperfect who loves and lives to draw, eat ,sing, dance waste time ,dream big and relax.”

Sveagatan Opening-Party!!

Designers Tanja Malo (jewelry), Oella (clothes) and DreamAndAwake (clothes) opened their new studio/showroom saturday by throwing a grand party… as grand as could be squeezed into their somewhat tight premises. It was mighty good fun though and people partied like there was tomorrow. There was so much people that I had a hard time taking pics of their actual designs, so more of them later in separate features! Here are a few quirky snaps from my iPhone instead!

Fresh Fish Winner of 2010: Tota

This years winner is Tota! Tota is originally from Iceland and lives since one year back in Stockholm. Now the winner of this years Fresh Fish, Gothenburgs no.1 fashion prize! Tomorrow: Tillskärarakademins Exam Show

Maybe you have heard of this event already? Otherwise if you’re in Gothenburg saturday May 9th, don’t miss out! The shows start at 13.00 and 16.00 and tickets are sold on site or can be bought in advance at ‘Emma & Malena’ on Vallgatan 4 orat Tillskärarakademin.

FashioFriend.se will attend packing cameras and lenses and images will be up on the site on monday. Check back!
